I am not receiving new Diary entries on my phone or tablet - what do I do?

If you become aware that the Diary/Calendar on your phone or tablet is not as up to date when compared with your Chambers Diary then we have put together a few quick checks that you can do yourself to help resolve the matter quickly.

If you become aware that the Diary/Calendar on your phone or tablet is not as up to date when compared with your Chambers Diary then we have a few quick checks you can do yourself to help resolve the matter quickly.

  1. Check that you can surf the Internet on your phone/tablet - start the phone/tablet web browser and try browsing to something like www.bbc.co.uk. This confirms that you have an Internet connection on your phone/tablet and that you have an Internet service through your provider.  
     
  2. Switch your phone/tablet off and then back on again. Note the phone/tablet must be powered off. Your phone/tablet is just like any other computer and occasionally things will stop working. A restart is the quickest and easiest way to check this.  If you have a Blackberry we also recommend you take the battery out and put it back in again.  
     
  3. Check your Chambers Diary via the 15NBS webmail service (see the Gateway home page).  Once you have logged into the Webmail service, navigate to the Calendar and compare the entries shown there with those on your phone/tablet.
     
  4. If the Webmail Calendar is also out of date then you should contact us - note before doing so we will need a specific example (date/description) of an entry you know is in your Chambers Diary but isn't showing on your phone/tablet or the Webmail service.  We will then pass this on to the Diary developer for investigation.
     
  5. If the Webmail Calendar is up to date then the issue is with your phone/tablet.  It may be necessary to remove the 15NBS E-mail configuration from your phone/tablet and re-add it again - use the configuration guidance available elsewhere in the Gateway for the details you need on how to do this.
