How to set up Mac Mail with new 15NBS E-mail

Setting up Mac Mail with 15NBS E-mail is very straightforward and only takes a few minutes. Here we explain how to do it.

Before you begin

Before setting up Mac Mail, please make sure:

  • You have an Internet connection.
  • You know your 15NBS E-mail address and your email password (this may be different from your other passwords).

Finally, the instructions that follow are for Mac Mail for OS X 10.9.4. The instructions for other versions of Mac OS X are similar but the steps may vary slightly.

Step 1 - Adding a new account

  1. Start Mac Mail.
  2. From the Mail menu, choose Accounts...
  3. The Internet Accounts window appears.
  4. Click the Exchange service.

Step 2 - Enter your Account Details

You will now be prompted to enter your account details .

  1. Type your name as you would like it to appear on E-mails you send.
  2. Type your 15NBS E-mail address.
  3. Type your 15NBS E-mail password.
  4. Click Continue .

Step 3 - Adding the E-mail service

Mac Mail now searches for your E-mail service details and you may be prompted to "Verify Certificate".  Click the Continue button.

 Mac Mail will continue to search, this may take a few moments...

Once your account details have been found the Account Summary screen will be shown, click the Continue button.

The "apps" from the 15NBS E-mail service to use with your Mac will be shown and all can be left ticked and the Done button clicked.

The apps will now be set up with your Mac and once completed your Internet Accounts window will show the following:

You can now close the Internet Accounts windows and you should start to see your 15NBS E-mail beginning to appear in Mac Mail. 

If you have a large amount of E-mail it may be several minutes before messages start to show.

You may again be prompted to "Verify Certificate".  If so, click the Continue button.
