Introduction

The Pupillage Application Manager (PAM) allows E-mails and attachments received from applicants to be imported into and associated with the application.  This short article explains how to import an applicant's E-mail into PAM.

Before you begin

Before you can import E-mails and any attachments into PAM you must have Microsoft Outlook configured with a macro that performs the export function.  If you are not sure this has been done, please contact us and we can advise.

Step 1 - Exporting the Email from Outlook

The first step for importing an E-mail into PAM is to export it from Outlook as follows:

  1. Open the E-mail to be exported.
  2. Click the "Export to PAM" icon on the Outlook Quick Access Toolbar.

    ECHO PAM Export Outlook Email

  3. A message will be displayed to confirm once this has been completed.

Step 2 - Importing the Email into PAM

After the Email and any attachments have been exported from Outlook it can be imported into PAM as follows:

  1. Open the ECHO Intranet and enter the PAM system.
  2. Click the name of the applicant whose Email is to be imported.
  3. Click Import Attachments

    ECHO PAM Import Email

  4. After a few moments the message and any attachments will be shown under the list of attachments.
  5. To delete an attachment, click the associated cross icon to its right
